Science in Norway: not just what is true but what is right

After the infamy of the Jon Sud­bø case, a panel of Norwegian scientists and researchers have published a new set of ethical guidelines for science in Norway. These guidelines require that science be committed to promoting peace, democracy, respect for the environment, sustainable growth, etc. Conceding that this is a break from longstanding values in science, they're nevertheless proud of this work, citing the social contract between science an the world.
