My childhood and teenage years were spent in isolated mill towns in British Columbia; a rural village near Salzburg, Austria; and the suburbs of Oslo, Norway. I learned to be shy in several languages, always feeling a bit like an outsider but not too uncomfortable about it.
I earned my Bachelor's at San Francisco State and my MBA at Columbia Business School. I've made my living the last 15 years as a management consultant, working at places like McKinsey, Andersen Consulting, and Viant. I now have my own little outfit, helping clients do the right thing with information technology.
